LEADERSHIP TRANSITION

Founding the company 23 years ago together with his father Aat and leading the company for the last 11 years, Laurens de Neef will be stepping down as CEO of CAPE Holland, as of the 31st October 2025. During his tenure, Laurens has been instrumental in driving CAPE Holland’s growth and establishing its reputation as a market leader in vibratory piling technology for the offshore industry.

Among his many achievements, the introduction of the CAPE Vibro Lifting Technology (CAPE VLT) stands out as a true milestone. This groundbreaking innovation has transformed the installation of offshore foundations, significantly improving efficiency and reinforcing CAPE Holland’s position at the forefront of this critical segment.

Laurens’ vision and commitment to creating a positive impact on both the industry and the planet have inspired many within the organisation. His leadership during Venterra Group’s acquisition of CAPE Holland in 2023 ensured continuity and stability throughout a time of transition and change.

Frank Koopman has been appointed as the new Managing Director, effective from the 1st November 2025.  Frank is an accomplished leader with over twenty years of experience in the offshore energy sector. He has a strong track record in managing technical organisations and driving growth and innovation. Frank spent more than ten years in senior positions at Fugro, and Heerema Marine Contractors. His strategic mindset, technical expertise, and focus on developing talent will be invaluable in guiding CAPE Holland through its next phase of growth.

Under Frank’s leadership, CAPE Holland will continue to uphold its commitment to innovation, growth, and exceptional service. Supported by Venterra Group, we look to the future with confidence, knowing we are well positioned to continue our success in the global offshore wind market.

We are deeply grateful to Laurens for his contributions and lasting impact on CAPE Holland.
