Location: Beilen | Full-time

Are you technically skilled, do you enjoy working with impressive equipment and are you passionate about assembling, maintaining and solving technical challenges? Do you have a broad interest in technology and experience in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, hydraulics and/or electrical engineering and enjoy working in an environment where no two days are the same? Then the position of Technician at CAPE Holland could be the right opportunity for you.

As a Technician at CAPE Holland, a Venterra Group company, you will work on machinery and installations used for challenging projects in the Netherlands and abroad. You will be involved in assembling, installing, maintaining, testing and repairing equipment such as vibro hammers, power units and related components.

Based at our Beilen location, you will be part of the Equipment Management team. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that our equipment is kept in excellent technical condition and can be deployed safely and reliably. Depending on your knowledge and expertise, you will carry out mechanical work as well as work involving hydraulics, electrical engineering and/or structural components.

Working at CAPE Holland is technical, varied and impressive. You will work with large-scale, specialist equipment, take responsibility for your own work and directly contribute to the quality and reliability of our machinery.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Technician, you will work on the production, assembly, maintenance and repair of our equipment. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Assembling, installing, maintaining, repairing and testing complete machines, installations and components.
  • Carrying out mechanical work and, depending on your knowledge and expertise, work involving hydraulics, electrical engineering and/or welding.
  • (Dis)assembling and repairing equipment including vibro hammers, power units and related components.
  • Carrying out work in accordance with work orders, technical drawings, diagrams, specifications and instructions.
  • Independently checking the quality and correct execution of your work before equipment is signed off as ready.
  • Monitoring the progress of your work and consulting the Foreman or Manager Assets & Equipment promptly in the event of technical issues, deviations or delays.
  • Accurately recording hours worked, completed activities and relevant information on work orders and other documentation.
  • Ensuring that the tools, aids and equipment you use are properly maintained and kept in good technical condition.
  • Contributing ideas for technical solutions and improvements to our working methods, maintenance and production processes.
  • Working with your colleagues to maintain a clean, safe and well-organised workshop.

The primary focus of the role is Equipment Management. Where needed and in consultation with you, you may also provide flexible support as a Service Technician or Offshore Operator.

Safety comes first

Safety is an essential part of your work. You will work in accordance with applicable company procedures and HSSEQ guidelines, carrying out your duties with a strong focus on quality, safety and the environment.

You will use the required personal protective equipment, participate in relevant training and toolbox meetings, and report unsafe situations, incidents, deviations and opportunities for improvement. If a situation is unsafe, we expect you to exercise your Stop Work Authority.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You are technically minded, practical and solution oriented. You work accurately and safely, and you believe it is important that machinery not only works but is also in excellent technical condition. You are comfortable working independently while also collaborating with colleagues whenever needed.

In addition, you have:

  • A completed MBO level 4 qualification, or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Maintenance or a similar technical discipline.

  • The ability to read and understand technical drawings and diagrams.
  • A practical and creative approach to finding technical solutions.
  • The flexibility to take on different duties when required.
  • A good command of Dutch, both spoken and written. English is an advantage.

  • Drive to achieve;
  • Flexibility;
  • Customer focus.

WHAT WE OFFER

As a Technician at CAPE Holland, you will have a varied technical role within an international organisation. You will work with specialist equipment every day and have the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in practice and develop it further.

No two days are exactly the same. One day you may be assembling or maintaining a machine, while the next you may be diagnosing a technical fault or preparing equipment for its next deployment. You will work alongside experienced colleagues from a range of technical disciplines.

We offer a competitive salary, holiday allowance, travel allowance and participation in our pension scheme. We would be happy to tell you more about our attractive employment conditions during a personal interview.

And let’s not forget… you will join an enthusiastic and close-knit team where craftsmanship, safety, collaboration and innovation come together. Everyone contributes to our success and is #CAPEABLE in their own way.
