SCORING TOGETHER IN THE CANTEEN

At CAPE Holland, we believe in the power of collaboration – both in the field and at the office. Since the end of last year, our team has found a new way to ‘score’ together, thanks to a very special parting gift from our former CEO, Laurens de Neef.

When Laurens stepped down as CEO in December 2025, he wanted to leave the team with something lasting and unique. While flowers or wine are traditional, Laurens chose something that fits our “out-of-the-box” mentality: a fully customized pinball machine.

Branded in CAPE Holland’s corporate identity and built by Flipperkasthuren.nl, the machine has become a central hub in our canteen. It serves as a reminder that while we work hard on the world’s most challenging offshore piling projects, there is always room for a bit of healthy competition and team spirit.

The machine isn’t just for show; it has been getting plenty of use over the past few months. This recently culminated in the very first CAPE Holland Pinball Challenge. It was a close race, but in the end, our Structural Engineer Roy Themme claimed the top spot on the leaderboard. Congratulations, Roy! 🏆

We would like to thank Laurens once again, not just for his years of leadership and everything he built at CAPE Holland, but also for this great addition to our workplace. Let the games continue!
