PROJECT MANAGER

As Project Manager at CAPE Holland you are in daily contact with our clients and serve as the liaison to the internal organization. You oversee the progress and take responsibility for your own (inter)national rental projects, both onshore and offshore. Your responsibilities encompass a broad range of tasks, including effectively preparing, initiating, coordinating, monitoring, and ensuring the operational and financial closure of rental projects.

You start your workday with a good cup of coffee and always know the current status of the project. You identify risks, are cost-conscious, and maintain control. You are assertive and possess strong communication skills. By utilizing tools such as Smartsheet, OneNote, and Teams, you keep track of your rental projects. Looking at your calendar and task list, you prioritize activities. Some practical examples of your tasks include:

  • Reviewing the logistical timeline with the customer;
  • Discussing the progress of equipment construction with involved colleagues;
  • Proactively maintaining contact with the CAPE crew on board;
  • Aligning QHSE reports, technical manuals, and arranging flight tickets and visas for the crew;
  • Occasionally visiting project locations.

In the morning, you may liaise with Asia, in the afternoon with Europe, and possibly with the USA at the end of the day. We are looking for the Project Manager who maximizes the workday, operates as the hub, is a team builder, and has a helicopter view. You will work closely with our Manager Projects, Manager Operations, Project Support, Project (Lead) Engineers and your colleague(s) Project Manager.

Your main duties and responsibilities are:

  • Coordinating company-wide tasks falling under the Project Manager’s responsibility;
  • Initiating, coordinating, monitoring project objectives (progress), assessing risks, documenting project conditions and interim milestones, forming project team(s) and conducting reviews, and/or evaluations including lessons learned, and (financially) closing projects;
  • Creating a project execution plan and project schedule, including required capacity;
  • Working with and ensuring the (regular) update of all project data in the ERP system and Microsoft 365 tools, ensuring they are current and readily available at all times;
  • Maintaining contact with the customer regarding the projects;
  • Initiating and organizing project-specific meetings;
  • Creating, monitoring, periodically analyzing/updating the project budget, and monthly billing in collaboration with our Business Controller.

WE OFFER

As a Project Manager at CAPE Holland, you fulfill a challenging role where no day is the same routine.

You will have the freedom to take own initiatives and there is plenty of opportunities for learning and growing.

You will be provided with a suitable salary, holiday allowance, travel allowance and participation in a favorable pension plan. We look forward to discussing other excellent terms of employment in person.

Last but not least: You will join an enthusiastic and close team. Each individual contributes to the process and is #CAPEABLE in her or his own way. We will make sure you feel welcomed from day. And we also invite you to join our events and Friday afternoon gatherings.

WE ASK

You are able to work multidisciplinary, focused on your task and do not have a 9 to 5 mentality. You are proactive and with your hands-on mentality you make sure things get done. At CAPE Holland, we like to put our shoulders to the wheel together. Furthermore, you possess:

  • HBO/WO level of education, Mechanical Engineering/Technical Business Administration, or a similar field, with an affinity for construction engineering and machine construction;
